The Laguna LCC Plastic Lab Sieve is a durable, easy-to-use sieve designed for filtering ceramic glazes, slips and other pottery materials. Its stainless steel screen is permanently fused into a tough, flexible polyethylene pan for long-lasting studio use. The 6-inch screen sits inside a large pan that measures approximately 12.5 inches across and is designed to fit conveniently over a 5-gallon bucket, making it easy to process larger quantities of glaze. Choose the mesh size that best suits your application, from coarse 30 mesh screens through fine 200 mesh screens. Sieving your glaze before use helps remove lumps, agglomerated particles and other unwanted material for a smoother, more consistent glaze application.

Choosing the Right Mesh
The mesh number indicates the number of openings per linear inch of screen. A lower mesh number provides a more open screen for removing larger particles, while a higher mesh number provides finer filtration.
30–40 Mesh: Coarser screening and larger particles
60–80 Mesh: General-purpose glaze and slip screening
100–120 Mesh: Finer glaze filtering and smoother glaze preparation
150–200 Mesh: Very fine screening when finer particle filtration is desired
For many ceramic glaze applications, 80 mesh is an excellent general-purpose choice, while finer meshes can be useful when a smoother glaze suspension is desired.
