Mid Fire Clay

A medium smooth white stoneware. This is a cone 5 variation of our popular Hopkin�s White Stoneware.

A pliable clay with smooth grog and color from manganese and iron. Fires almost black when reduced and dark brown/black in oxidation.

B-Mix 5 offers the same characteristics enjoyed by our Cone 10 B-Mix. Its smooth, porcelain texture is a pleasure to throw and form, and it fires to a cream color in oxidation.

A very fine grog makes for a more forgiving body with a slight texture and minimal speckling.

A medium coarse clay body. Fires a warm buff in oxidation and a beautiful medium brown in reduction.

This is a good, general purpose clay that works well for all forming methods. Specks generally bleed into glazes. 60 mesh sand gives a medium texture. Fire at Cone 5, the oxidation color is gray/buff and the reduction color is gray/brown.
